Shoes

Because of the extreme heat in Dakar, sandals and flip flops are the common footwear for both men and women. Sometimes the men wear a kind of slip on shoe with a very pointed toe. Tennis shoes are worn, but they are not very common.





Because of the dirty and sometimes muddy streets, it is customary to take shoes off at the front door of the house.
