Nice Buildings

There are some pretty buildings in Dakar, but they are the exceptions. Most of the really nice ones are in the area around the capital building and other government offices. There are no building restrictions, so really pretty buildings will be right beside really bad ones. A few of the better buildings even have a little green around them!
The first picture below shows Dakar's nicest building which is the Muslim University. Even the fenced in grounds are well maintained. The grounds are surrounded by some very dirty streets, unemployed people, and poor living quarters.

The houses and apartments in the next photos are very nice. These are on dirt streets. Homeowners cannot control the streets or sewers; they seem to accept the condition of the public works as they are.

Next you will see a pharmacy with an apartment above it.

These are nice buildings for Africa. I am sure it was good to see some buildings like those in the US. Enjoy your blogs.
