The highway from Dar es Salaam to Chimala goes through Mikumi National Park. We finally got to see some African animals! We did not have time to drive into the park, so these are the animals that we could see from the main highway. First, the baboons----they were plentiful and were not afraid of cars!

We were so happy to get to see the elephants!

We wished that we could have seen lions.......maybe another time......

Enjoyed the animal pictures. I am sure it is different seeing them in their own habitat rather than in the zoo.
That is amazing! You guys were lucky to have seen so much of the wildlife in such a short time. I am jealous!
