The Park

Lauren, Katelyn, and Collin really enjoyed the park in Martock. Any day that Julie or I asked them what they wanted to do, they would say, "Take our lunch to the park."
It is quite a walk to the park, so the girls always tried to be the first to see the footpath off the main road to the park.
Note the blue sign that points to the "Recreation Ground." There is also a small sign at the top of the post that says, "Public Footpath." (There are many public footpaths, many of which go through the edges of farmers' fields. It is always interesting to follow those signs and see where they lead!)

We had to cross a little bridge to get there. (Collin loved that part!)

The park has lots of nice equipment for all ages. It was always fun listening to the really small children speaking with their English accent!

These photos of the "zip wire" really don't do it justice. Lauren and Katelyn loved this one!

Collin really enjoyed the sand, especially throwing it in his hair! He definitely needed a bath when we got back home!

Collin got to ride to and from the park in a backpack. (He was quite a load on the mile-walk to the park!) Everyday on the way home, the girls would guess at what point on the way back that Collin would fall asleep. He never made it all the way home awake! The park wore him out---he stayed very busy there!

Wow! That park looks like so much fun! It has a few things that I haven't ever seen in parks over here! I'd love the zip wire!!!

I love the picture with all 3 kids on the slide! It is slightly embarassing when people ask the kids what the best part of England was and they answer the park!!

My computer has not been letting me make comments for a week or so.

I love the playground. The slide is my favorite.
